Campus Ministry

Allison United Methodist Church and Dickinson College

Allison United Methodist Church and Dickinson College have enjoyed a close relationship for more than 200 years. Many Dickinson students and faculty have nurtured their spiritual lives through worship and Christian service with the Allison congregation.

This year Allison and Grace UMC are joining forces to reach out to the Dickinson Community in a unified way with CONNECT: Christ, Church, & Community. We hope that through working together more students will come to know both our churches, will engage in ministry and worship together with local congregations, and ultimately come to grow in their relationship with Christ while at college.

The Campus Ministry Team is a committed group of Allison Church and Grace Church members who seek to make students feel welcome and supported. The group hosts various events for students throughout the semester.

The Family Connenction (previously Adopt-a-Student/Adopt-a-Parent) Program matches Dickinson students with Allison Church families for the purpose of mutual fellowship and support. Adoptive families invite students to be a part of their lives through monthly activities like dinners and outings, providing a "home away from home" place to take a break from college life. The Campus Ministry Team provides a variety of potluck dinners and desserts for ASAP participants as a way of connecting students and families. Sign up for ASAP by filling out an application form in the back of the church sanctuary, or by contacting the church office.

Allison Campus Ministry is open to all students no matter what their denominational background. Our Communion is open to all and we welcome seekers to our program as well as committed Christians.

The Dickinson Chapter of the United Methodist Student Movement is housed at Allison. United Methodist students offer fellowship, mission service, and spiritual life programming.
