In Romans 12:6-8, Paul teaches: We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
The ministers of Allison are the entire congregation, each called to use their gifts to love, serve, and proclaim Jesus as Lord. Ministers in our congregation are young and older, enthusiastic teenagers and shut-ins, those who teach and those who take out the trash, those who lead Bible studies and those who serve at Project SHARE, the local food bank of Carlisle.
The ministry programs of Allison specific to age groupings are for children, youth, campus students, and adults. Intergenerational ministries that reach and serve all ages are our music ministries and mission outreaches.
As each person is diverse, the ministers at Allison are diverse and likewise the ministry opportunities at Allison are those that meet, serve, and are based in the passions of those who worship at Allison. If you cannot find a ministry you are interested in, please see a pastor to use the gifts God has given you to God's graces.
